If you're looking for a beautifully finished drum kit that's ready to play straight out of the box, the Pearl Roadshow RSS585BCC-31 Jet Black is a great place to start. It's perfect for beginner drummers, teenagers looking for their first set or even for musicians on the move who need a kit they can carry around.
The configuration is superbly balanced: 10" and 12" toms, 14" bass tom, and a 13" x 5" snare drum. The poplar drums (6-ply, 7 mm) provide good projection.
The hardware pack is complete: P-50 bass drum pedal, H-50 hi-hat stand, S-50 snare drum stand, C-50 straight cymbal stand and D-50 adjustable stool. It's solid, nothing moves, even when you're hitting it hard.
And to get you started straight away, Pearl has thought of everything: two sticks, a bag, and even a set of Sabian Solar cymbals (hi-hat 14", crash 16", ride 20").
