Electric Guitar Combo

The Peavey Josh Homme Decade Too combo amp recaptures the raspy, edgy character of the Decade of the 80s, in an easy-to-use 10-watt format. It features an 8-inch Celestion midrange driver, a switchable Saturation channel and a 3-band EQ with Bass and Top boosts. Designed both for playing at controlled volume and for recording, it provides direct access to the dry, tight grain that has become emblematic.

The Peavey Josh Homme Decade Too combo amp is directly inspired by the original Peavey Decade that marked the debut of Queens of the Stone Age. This compact model retains the raw attack and gritty saturation for which this discreet amp has become famous. The 10-watt TransTube power section delivers a nervous response, with dynamics akin to a small tube amp pushed to its limits. The specially tuned Celestion 8" driver brings out the midrange and keeps the bottom end tight and precise.

The Saturation channel is accessible via a dedicated switch, allowing you to switch from a taut clean sound to harmonically rich saturation without touching the settings. The Pre Gain and Post Gain controls allow you to fine-tune the amount of grain and the output level. The Low, Mid and High EQs are straightforward and easy to adjust according to the guitar being used. The Bass and Top switches add depth in the bass and brilliance at the top of the spectrum, respectively.

The integrated effects loop makes it easy to use delays and modulations without altering the character of the preamp. The balanced XLR output with transformer, level control and ground lift allows recording or front-of-house playing without a microphone. A line output jack and phase selector for the loudspeaker further extend the possibilities, particularly for controlled feedback. The 2 speaker outputs allow the use of external 4 or 8 ohm loudspeakers. The format remains compact and portable, while offering a real sound palette.

This combo is for guitarists looking for a direct, edgy, no-frills sound, faithful to the spirit of desert rock and the abrasive textures that marked a whole generation!
