Peavey - Session LTD 400 Preamp Pedal

The Peavey Session-LTD 400 Preamp takes the open, transparent character of the famous Session 400 Limited, an absolute benchmark for pedal steel since the 1970s. The circuit faithfully reproduces the original 1974 preamp, with a clear, stable and highly detailed response. The internal processing operates at 25 V from a 9 V power supply, providing a wide dynamic range and a clean signal even at high levels.

The input volume control allows you to adapt the level precisely to the instrument or effects chain. Three-band equalisation (Low, Mid and High) is complemented by a mid-shift for precise adjustment of the midrange zone. The presence control acts directly on the attack and openness of the upper end of the spectrum. All of this makes it possible to obtain very straight, brilliant or rounder sounds, without ever artificially compressing the signal.

The pedal can be used as an alternative clean channel, as a frequency boost or directly in front of a power amp. It is equally suited to pedal steel and amplified electric or acoustic guitars. The hard-bypass with anti-click circuit ensures silent switching in real-life situations. The die-cast aluminium case withstands intensive use in rehearsal and on stage.
