The ProMark R5ABAG Rebound 5AB ActiveGrip mallets are designed for drummers who want to secure their grip in intense playing situations. The ActiveGrip coating reacts to the heat of the hands and gradually becomes grippier. This natural reaction prevents slipping without hindering movement.
The 14.7mm diameter puts this model between 5A and 5B. This size means you can play with precision while still retaining some reserve for harder shots. The hickory provides a familiar feel with good shock absorption.
The Rebound balance allows the stick to return quickly after impact. The long taper refines the feel of the bounce and improves the fluidity of the sequences. This configuration helps to keep your playing clean on both fast patterns and heavier grooves.
