active DI box for acoustic instruments with piezo pickups, compact version of the direct box PZ-DI. Equipped with an input on 6.35mm, to be connected to the output of the instrument equipped with a piezo and a Thru connector that may be used to connect an amplifier or a tuner. An XLR output is also present to connect the SB-4 Piezo StageBug the sound system speakers. In terms of functions, there are on the housing a phase inversion switch, and a low-pass Fitre is integrated to remove unwanted low.

Radial StageBug SB-4 is a compact active direct box that has been optimized for use with piezoelectric sensors.
This solution helps to amplify the violins, dobros, mandolins, cellos, double basses and other instruments with piezo without compromising the sound or frequency response.
SB-4 has an input jack for the sound instrumental.
Unlike traditional DI have a 1meg ohm input impedance, the SB-4 has a 10Megaohms input impedance, which has the effect of smoothing the troublesome peaks that give piezos this bad reputation. the higher impedance also extends the frequency response for a more natural and pleasant. The active circuit performs the high to low impedance conversion while symmetrizing the signal. This allows to transit without loss of signal over long distances while providing linearity and low distortion in the audio chain.
