Start by making sure you have all the parts with you: base plate, arm, threaded adaptor, hex key, two washers and two screws.
1- Hold the base plate upside down, with the gold dot facing the ground.
2- Hold the arm under the base plate with its mounting holes facing upwards
3- Lift the arm up to the base plate, aligning it with the screw holes and guide slot
4- Secure it in place using the two washers, the two screws and the hexagonal key included.
Mounting your microphone or other device on the DS2 :
The DS2 is designed to mount microphones or other devices (weighing up to 900 g) via its screw thread. Some devices will have a thread directly on the device itself, while others will have one on their shock mount, arm or similar platform.
Thread adaptor:
With the included thread adapter, the DS2 can mount devices with 3/8-inch and 1/4-inch threads. By default, the DS2's threading supports 3/8" threads, but if you wish to mount a device with 1/4" threads, simply screw on the adaptor.
Note: If you want to secure your device in a particular orientation, you can use the black disc on the DS2 mounting thread. Rotate it anti-clockwise to push the disc against your device when it is oriented and positioned as you intend to use it.
