Rode - SmartLav+
The Rode SmartLav+ is a tie microphone for smartphones. With its small 4.5mm size, it fits discreetly on the edge of a jacket or the breast pocket of a shirt to ensure perfect voice pick-up. Fitted with a TRRS connector, the SmartLav+ is compatible with iOS and some Android devices. The Rode tie microphone is supplied with a windscreen and a clip.
Presentation
This is a miniature microphone with a professional-quality 360° omnidirectional condenser capsule. Connected to a smartphone or tablet via the TRRS mini-jack cable supplied, the SmartLav+ is a very discreet and easy-to-use recording solution at a very low cost.
The SmartLav+ lapel microphone is supplied with a WS-LAV windscreen to minimise wind noise, sibilance and plosives ("B", "T" and "P"), and a clamp with cable guide.
The smartLav+ has been designed for use with the "RØDE Rec" application for Apple iOS devices, but it also works perfectly with other applications that accept input signals via the headphone socket. "RØDE Rec" turns an iOS device into a fully-fledged mobile recorder, offering numerous EQ presets, professional sound processing features and the ability to post to SoundCloud and Dropbox directly from the app.
