An immersive acoustic drumming experience
With the familiar structure and inspiring playability of an acoustic drum kit, the VAD504 will provide a comfortable playing experience for all drummers. The kit includes a steel snare drum, a suspended tom, a bass tom and a kick drum, all made of wood and of standard depths, for total authenticity under foot and stick. The cymbal set consists of a 14" V-Hi-Hat, a 14" Crash textured and thin, and an 18" Ride offering a natural look and high-end playability.

Our revolutionary digital pad technology represents a major advance in electronic drumming, providing unrivalled depth and dimension under your sticks. The precision multi-sensor snare, ride and hi-hat pads work in total harmony with the TD-27 module, capturing every nuance with incredible definition. Ultra-fast detection allows you to use all your acoustic drumming techniques naturally, such as muffling the Ride by hand, or chaining together skin hits, Cross Sticks and Rim Shots on the snare. The VH-14HD takes electronic hi-hat playing to new heights with unrivalled touch sensitivity, timbre variation and open/close resolution.

Roland's renowned multi-layered, tension-adjustable Mesh heads contribute significantly to the authentic feel of the drums, providing adjustable bounce to suit your playing style. And when you smash your drum against the specially designed bass drum, you physically feel the air compression in the drumhead and the induced resistance, just like on an acoustic bass drum.

Derived from our flagship TD-50X, the TD-27 is full of percussive sounds that live and breathe like acoustic elements. We started by sampling the best drums, cymbals and percussion, old and new, in the best studios in the world. Roland's unique Prismatic Sound modeling technology is then applied to these samples, bringing them to life through more than two decades of proprietary behavioral modeling. Every time you strike a drum or cymbal, you're not just triggering a recorded sound; you're playing a real instrument that responds, like its acoustic counterpart, with a range of timbres.

TD-27 module: more sounds, more power
The enhanced TD-27 module includes 75 preset kits, including 10 brand new ones, and new versions of the three most popular kits from the previous version of the module. New preloaded samples have also been added, and can be used in the preset kits or in your own personal kits. The layering functions have also been enhanced, with parallel compression and transient shaping options, giving greater control over the sound. The module's interface has also been redesigned to speed up sound creation. And thanks to the contents of Roland Cloud, you'll enhance your playing experience with an ever-expanding amount of sounds, samples, and kits designed by top V-Drums artists.

Advanced sound processing options
PureAcoustic Ambience technology creates incredibly natural, immersive soundscapes as you play. And you can go even further by adjusting individual microphones and virtual stereo overheads, just like on an acoustic drum kit. Advanced multi-effects and a host of mixing options give you the control of a full studio console, complete with transients, parametric EQs, compressors, reverbs, delays and more.

Powerful connectivity for stage and studio
Thanks to its wide range of connectors, the VAD504 delivers fantastic sounds on stage and in the studio. The TD-27 module has a stereo output for overall sound, plus two Direct outputs for sending individual bass drums, snare drums or other elements to the mixing console for processing. In the studio, the integrated USB audio interface makes it easy to produce music on a computer, providing up to 28 separate audio channels via a single cable. MIDI connection is also possible via the USB socket or dedicated sockets, allowing you to synchronise other MIDI instruments and trigger sounds from software.

Easy kit expansion
With a VAD504, there's no limit to the number of elements you can add. Thanks to the TD-27 module's three auxiliary trigger inputs, you can easily add tom and cymbal pads to enrich your arsenal. And you can even opt for maximum impact by adding a second bass drum to the kit. Whatever your ideal configuration, the Aux Trigger inputs will help you achieve it.

Streaming via Bluetooth audio
Built-in Bluetooth lets you listen wirelessly from the module to audio streamed from a smartphone or computer, perfect for headphone use. You can play along to your favourite tracks, or listen to a drum lesson on YouTube at the same time. You can even record what you've played, with or without playback, so you know what you need to improve.

Your own personal coach
Coach mode helps you work every day, and keeps track of your sessions to make learning rewarding. Warm up with Warm-Ups, develop your sense of groove, tempo and placement, and even work on your consistency. You'll get a grade that highlights your progress and motivates you to keep working.
