Schlagwerk - IG204 Infinity Gong Earth Harmony

The Schlagwerk IG204 Infinity Gong Earth Harmony has a frequency of 204.1 Hz, linked to the Earth’s orbital year around the Sun. Upon striking, the fundamental tone and its entire harmonic spectrum unfold together; the harmonics then quickly fade away, leaving the fundamental tone to dominate the sound space on its own. The fundamental tone does not remain static; it gradually begins to pulsate, like a beat settling into the room.

The construction is based on aluminium tubes finely tuned to a tenth of a hertz to maintain this frequency. The smoked oak frame supports these tubes without touching them; this suspension allows each tube to vibrate freely without transmitting its vibration to the wood. The 80 mm diameter and 153 cm length give the gong its vertical silhouette, resting on natural felt feet that isolate the whole structure from the floor.

This gong is part of the Infinity Gong series and is ideal for use in meditation sessions, sound therapy or music therapy. The MA106 mallet, included as standard, provides the necessary impact to reveal the full spectrum from the very first strike. Paired with the Infinity Gong Earth / Om and its frequency of 136.1 Hz, it forms a harmonic duo for sessions using two gongs.
