The Sennheiser EW-DP SKP (R4-9) is a UHF digital plug-on transmitter that quickly transforms a wired XLR microphone into an Evolution Wireless Digital-compatible wireless solution. With its 48 V phantom power supply, built-in microSD recording and low latency, it's perfect for interviews, wireless booms and video shoots. Frequency range: 552MHz - 607.8 MHz.
Presentation
Designed for video, documentary and broadcast applications, the EW-DP SKP combines low-latency digital transmission with internal recording on a microSD card. This function can be used either to secure a sound recording in parallel with the HF signal, or to use the transmitter as a lightweight stand-alone recorder in certain mobile configurations. The 3.5 mm mini-jack input also adds compatibility with various lavalier microphones.
The digital UHF transmission offers a dynamic range of 134dB and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, so that voices and acoustic sources retain a great deal of detail and naturalness. With a latency of just 1.9 ms, it can be used for video, live or ENG applications.
The EW-DP SKP operates on the R4-9 band covering 552 to 607.8 MHz and also features Bluetooth connectivity for control via a mobile application. It is powered by AA batteries, making it easy to replace quickly in the field without relying on a special recharging system. Compact and lightweight, it's a practical solution for video crews, journalists, sound operators and content creators who want to use XLR microphones without cables.
