Sennheiser - EW-DP SKP (S1-7)
The Sennheiser EW-DP SKP (S1-7) is a UHF digital plug-on transmitter designed to quickly transform a wired XLR microphone into an Evolution Wireless Digital solution. It incorporates a +48 V phantom power supply, a microSD recorder and low latency for filming, interviews and mobile audio recording. Frequency range: 606 - 662 MHz.
Presentation
Thanks to its XLR connector with +48 V phantom power supply, the EW-DP SKP can be used with both dynamic microphones and professional static microphones used on boom, camera or interview. Its 3.5 mm mini-jack input can also be used to connect certain lavalier microphones and compact solutions, depending on the needs of the shoot.
This S1-7 version covers the UHF 606.2 to 662 MHz frequency band and boasts low-latency digital transmission of just 1.9 ms. With a dynamic range of 134 dB and a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, the system reproduces voices and acoustic sources with great precision and naturalness.
The EW-DP SKP also incorporates a microSD recorder for securing audio sockets or using the transmitter as a lightweight stand-alone solution. This function can be particularly useful for mobile filming, documentaries or interviews where redundant recording is important.
The unit runs on two AA batteries that can be easily replaced in the field and can be controlled via Bluetooth using the dedicated Sennheiser app. Compact and lightweight, the EW-DP SKP (S1-7) is an ideal solution for videographers, journalists, sound engineers and content creators looking for flexibility and mobility in their audio configurations.
