Originally developed in the Custom Shop for Hamer guitars, the Phat Cat is a genuine single-coil P-90 Soapbar that fits under a humbucker cover. You get all the authentic bounce and sparkle you'd expect from a vintage Gibson P90 Soapbar. It's built around two Alnico 2 magnets for more sustain, a smoother attack and harmonically rich chords. The neck model is in reverse polarity to the bridge pickup, to provide quiet operation when used together.
