Showtec - Mistique

The Showtec Mistique is aimed at environments that need a very discreet but perfectly controllable fog. The principle is based on the combination of a specially formulated Hazer liquid and a low-pressure CO₂ supply, which completely modifies the structure of the particles projected.

Instead of a dense cloud that floats and disrupts the scene, Mistique generates an extremely regular air flow, ideal for highlighting beams without creating visible layers in the image. Both stage crews and lighting designers will find it a tool capable of accompanying a lighting configuration without ever attracting attention.

Internal operation is distinguished by the absence of a traditional pump, replaced by CO₂ pressure, which greatly reduces noise. In a shooting situation, this difference can be heard immediately: the unit remains silent, while maintaining a highly appreciable consistency of diffusion.

The direction of output can be adjusted by changing the position of the cover or the fan, allowing the unit to be adapted to a particular stage space or constrained placement.

The control system is designed for easy integration. The fixture accepts DMX, W-DMX and manual control, with channels for adjusting output level, fan or operating mode. The internal 2.5-litre reservoir provides comfortable autonomy with MHL-2 liquid, while the touch-sensitive interface makes it easy to view parameters, pressure and temperature.

Data from the manufacturer's tests also show low gas consumption in relation to the volume of air treated, making it a suitable solution for prolonged installations or repetitive production.
