Presentation
The Squier Telecaster Thinline takes on the chic aesthetic of the models from the late 60s. Its semi-finished nato body gives it a light, woody resonance. The gloss polyurethane varnish enhances the grain, while the 4-Ply Aged White Pearloid pickguard adds a refined touch. The maple 'C' profile neck glides smoothly under the fingers, and the tinted gloss urethane finish retains its warmth.
On the maple fingerboard with its 9.5" radius, the 21 Narrow Tall frets make it easy to bend and play with precision. The synthetic bone saddle (42 mm) ensures good string alignment. Black dot markings add to the vintage look. As for sound, two Fender Designed Alnico Single-Coil pickups deliver clear, dynamic, balanced tones, controlled by a 3-position selector, volume and tone.
The Marshall DSL5C is more than just a lounge amp. It combines 5 watts of tube power (or 1 watt via a switch) with a 10-inch Celestion Ten-30 speaker. The result is a rich response, from warm cleans to incisive overdrives. Its two channels - Classic Gain and Ultra Gain - cover everything from mellow blues to energetic hard rock.
The three-band EQ and Tone Shift knob sculpt the midrange. The digital reverb adds depth, and the effects loop opens the door to more advanced configurations. The Softube emulated line output allows you to record or playback Marshall grain headphones, while the mini-jack input lets you play along to your favourite tracks. The included footswitch lets you change channels and reverbs with a flick of the wrist.
The jack cable supplied is no mere accessory: 3 metres, 6.35 mm mono connectors, 6 mm jacket and 1.5 mm² cross-section. Robust enough for studio and rehearsal use, it remains flexible and practical.
This trio was chosen for its coherence. The Telecaster Thinline brings an assertive character, perfect for rock, soul, country or funk. The DSL5C translates every nuance with organic dynamics. The reliable cable means you can plug in and play straight away. Here, vintage looks, Marshall grain and practicality come together in a single package.
