The IP Tester is a maintenance tool developed for users and technicians working on StarWay range IP floodlights. When a sealed floodlight is opened for maintenance, repair or inspection, its level of protection must be checked before it is put back into service. This is essential to prevent any water infiltration that could damage the electronic components.
The device can be used to carry out a positive pressure test adapted to the different models of compatible projectors. This procedure effectively checks the integrity of the seals and sealing systems after reassembly.
In addition to the simple check, the IP Tester also incorporates a system for renewing the air in the projector. Thanks to its silicate gel capsule, it is capable of extracting residual humidity and then re-injecting dry air into the fixture. This operation helps to maintain equipment performance and limit the risks associated with internal condensation.
