The Sterling Fluff in Rula Thumb Red is the result of a collaboration with Ryan "Fluff" Bruce. It comes tuned in Drop C# with Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky strings, a choice that shows its vocation for heavy, modern sounds. The nyatoh body produces a warm, powerful sound. The screwed neck in torrefied maple provides remarkable stability in all conditions.
Two Seymour Duncan pickups equip this guitar: a compact JB Jr. in the neck and a TB-4 Trembucker in the bridge. Together, they offer a very broad sound palette, from defined crunch to deep, saturated rhythms. The controls are deliberately minimalist, with a single volume and a 3-position selector. This choice reflects Fluff's desire to get to the heart of the matter when playing.
The red finish adds a strong identity and stands out visually on stage. The black fittings accentuate the aesthetic contrast. With this model, Sterling offers a guitar that faithfully reflects Fluff's sonic and aesthetic choices.
