The Sterling by Music Man Richardson 6 guitar has been designed to meet the demands of uncompromising virtuoso playing. Its alder body ensures a clear tonal balance, with a defined midrange and excellent saturation readability. The poplar top adds an organic visual touch while maintaining a natural, controlled resonance.

The double-cutaway design, with a custom-sculpted lower horn, makes reaching the 24 frets effortless, even in the highest positions. The torrefied maple neck provides extra stability in the face of changing weather conditions, while offering a dry, fast feel. The rosewood fingerboard softens the attack and adds depth to the notes, particularly appreciated in the lead.

The 16" radius and jumbo frets facilitate bends, fast licks and modern techniques like legato and tapping. The locking action keeps the instrument reliably in tune, even with intensive use of modern vibrato. The tremolo bridge allows you to create expressive effects while maintaining good sustain.

Jason Richardson's signature humbucking pickups deliver a high level of output, with excellent definition on complex chords. The 12dB boost push-push lets you bring out a solo without changing your amp setting. The split push-push expands the sonic palette towards brighter, snappier textures.

This guitar is equally at home in the studio or on stage, in styles ranging from progressive metal to technical rock.
