Presentation
The Sterling by Music Man Richardson 7 Kokiri Forest guitar is for you if you're looking for a 7-string guitar designed for modern technique and controlled low registers. The alder body has a well-balanced sound base, with solid lows, present mids and good overall definition. The Kokiri Forest finish enhances the lines of the body while maintaining a sober, contemporary aesthetic.
The lightened double cutaway, combined with a redesigned lower horn, gives natural access to the 24 frets along the entire length of the neck. The torrefied maple neck offers increased rigidity and an even response, particularly appreciated for fast, accurate playing. The rosewood fingerboard provides a rounder attack and greater legibility on complex chords.
The 16" radius and jumbo medium frets provide constant comfort, whether you're riffing hard or playing technical solos. The 25.5" pitch maintains consistent tension on the seventh string, even when tuned down. The locking action makes string changes easy and stabilises tuning when using modern vibrato.
The tremolo bridge allows for expressive variations, from subtle vibratos to stronger effects. Sterling by Music Man humbuckers, designed for Jason Richardson, deliver high output while maintaining good note separation. The volume boost push-push adds up to 12dB to make a solo stand out or reinforce a rhythmic passage. The split push-push opens up access to clearer, drier textures.
This guitar was developed according to the requirements of Jason Richardson, a musician renowned for his technical playing and intensive use of the seven-string. It allows you to work on heavy, progressive or technical styles with a coherent, stable instrument designed to keep up with demanding playing both on stage and in the studio.
