Thanks to slim all-maple shells and the ingenious Star-Mount system, the Superstar Classic delivers exceptional resonance and clear projection, while retaining the rich, powerful character that the series is known for.
The small shells designed specifically for the Superstar Classic series reduce the surface area occupied on the shell, allowing maximum unhindered resonance. The clamp hooks stabilize the wooden kick straps and feature a built-in rubber coating to protect the wood and maintain tuning during extended performances.
Sound was the Tama research team's top priority when designing the Superstar series, and every detail was carefully considered to ensure optimal sound quality. Carefully selected maple shells deliver a full, powerful character, while the shape of the chamfer ensures a rich, balanced resonance.
