Telefunken - ELA-M 251
The ELA M 251 Telefunken is a tube condenser microphone, with a large diaphragm, cardioid, omni and Figure-en-8 directivities. The microphone comes with its lunchbox-type power supply, a lockable flight case and a wooden box. Made between 1960 and 1965 with an estimated total production of less than 3,700 pieces, the original Telefunken ELA M 251 is highly coveted. The rare examples of opportunity that can be found, are sold at exorbitant prices because it represents the true vintage sound and the base of the U48 Neumann. Telefunken has therefore decided to create a reissue of this legend, with amazing results! The ELA M 251 microphone is a classic, and has no equivalent in its competitors, with its smooth sound, present and open. It is ideal for vocals and acoustic instruments, and offers a deep and precise bass, a detailed medium response and silky highs.
