The Telefunken U47 is a tube condenser microphones, equipped with a large diaphragm, with cardioid and omnidirectional directivities. The microphone comes with its power supply, a suspension, a cable, a lockable flight-case and a wooden box. Few microphones are as iconic as the Telefunken U47 condenser microphone. This vintage tube studio microphone gives you the soft, warm sound you heard on 1950s crooner recordings. Outside of vocals, the U47 is one of the most popular microphones of sound engineers on classical recordings , because of its rich, precise and dynamic sound, and its switchable cardioid / omnidirectional directivity. It is also ideal for stereo recording on a Decca tree.
