Thorens - TD 102 A Noir

The TD 102 A, a blend of design and simplicity.
With this new product, THORENS has perfectly combined the timeless aesthetics of original vinyl turntables with the automation of modern turntables. With its wooden chassis and lacquered finish, the turntable is available in 'gloss black' and 'gloss walnut'.
But it's also all its practical details that can be highlighted: shock-absorbing feet, a fully automatic system and an integrated, disengageable phono pre-amp for easy and complete connection to all modern audio systems.
Added to all these features, the TD 102 A offers impeccable, vibration-free sound quality, thanks to the absorption of a rubber platter cover and its indirect belt drive.

The strength of an Audio Technica AT VM95E cartridge
This turntable is equipped with a TP 72 tone arm and a pre-mounted Audio-Technica AT VM95E cartridge.
The newly developed carbon tone arm combines lightness and strength, and also helps to limit vibrations.

The AT VM95E phono cell is one of the turntable's main assets, thanks to its technical features and performance: equipped with an MM-type generator with double magnets (the coils are para-toroidal and made of high-purity OFC copper (99.99997%)) and VM technology based on the use of two magnets placed in a V-shape (Audio-Technica Vector Aligned technology), the cell's magnetic performance is guaranteed.
Finally, the cell offers reduced sound distortion thanks to an isolation plate located between the coils, and also guarantees linear sound reproduction from 20 Hz to 22 kHz.
