Cases for Drum Kit
The Tobago APFU20 Fusion is a drum cover kit. The 14 "x14" bass tom fits snugly. A taller version forces it closed. Even when stacked, the covers retain their original volume. The padding quickly returns to its original shape. The 600D polyester is highly resistant to repeated snags. It can take sharp corners without tearing. Each cover inspires confidence, even on tour. But beware, if the downpour becomes torrential, dampness can set in. Nothing dramatic, but it's not a waterproof casing either.
On the snare side, a 14" x 6.5" snare fits, but it's only just. The depth of the cover is a bit tight, so it's not made for drums that are too deep.
The 15mm padding? It absorbs shocks without grating. Thrown away in a hurry after a gig? The drum comes out intact.
The zip holds firm. Even after a dusty stay in a dark room, it slides smoothly.
A wipe with a cloth is all it takes, no need for lubricant every four mornings. Solid, simple, no fuss!
The handles inspire confidence. The zip on the bass tom is far from fragile. It doesn't get tired from rough use.
Over the long term, the whole thing holds up. It's not armour-plated, but for regular transport, it does the job.
