A LEMO connector provides a secure connection between the headset and the audio source via a 9.8' connection cable with a 3.5 mm gold-plated stereo plug. A 1/4" adapter can be attached to the 3.5 mm stereo plug. Thanks to the 4-pin design of the LEMO connector, the Edition 8 EX is also suitable for providing a balanced input when used with a pre-assembled connection cable.
The high-gloss chrome earcups are covered in a wear-resistant material coated with PVD (physical deposition of a thin, hard coating in the vapour phase). The connection brackets on the ear cups feature polished ceramic inlays engraved with the Ultrasone logo. The ear cushions are attached to the earpieces by magnetic force and can be detached reliably and easily. The ear cushions are made from soft, dark grey, long-haired Ethiopian sheepskin. The same leather also covers the padding of the headband, which is made of solid aluminium.
