Ligature and Cap
Fine-tune the response of your bass clarinet with the Vandoren LC24P leather ligature, supplied with mouthpiece cover and three interchangeable pressure pads. Genuine leather provides a softer contact around the ebonite mouthpiece, which influences the vibration of the reed and the colour of the sound. Try out the different pads and easily adjust your tone to suit your playing.

Presentation
On a bass clarinet, the slightest adjustment can transform the playing sensation. The Vandoren LC24P leather ligature has been designed to address precisely this point: the way the reed is held on the mouthpiece. The leather creates a softer, more enveloping contact around the ebonite mouthpiece, allowing the vibration to develop more freely. This often translates into a rounder, warmer sound.
The ligature uses a unique double-threaded screw for fast, symmetrical tightening. Pressure remains balanced across the entire surface of the reed, helping to keep the sound stable without blocking the vibration.
Three pressure plates are supplied. Each has a slightly different effect on the reed's response: more pronounced articulation, more direct projection or softer vibration. The plastic neck cover protects the whole unit when the instrument is stored in its case.
