The Vic Firth 12" Double-Sided Practice Pad reinvents the drummer’s workspace by incorporating two types of dynamic response on a single playing surface.
Designed to optimise low-volume practice sessions, this accessory eliminates the need to flip the pad over to change the feel.
Its heavy-duty, ultra-sturdy wooden base features a non-slip coating on the underside, ensuring absolute stability whether placed on your lap, on a table or fitted directly into the basket of a standard 12-inch snare drum stand.
The key innovation lies in the division of its upper surface into two distinct zones of natural rubber. The left half, made of soft grey rubber, perfectly mimics the organic tension of a well-strung drumhead, offering ideal resistance to build up wrist strength and perfect stick control.
Conversely, the right-hand half is made of a denser, stiffer black rubber, generating instant rebound, slightly greater volume and crisp rhythmic definition, making it the zone of choice for working through complex rudiments and marching drumming styles.
