Matt Greiner is a leading American drummer on the modern metal scene, renowned as the co-founder and rhythmic driving force behind the Christian metalcore band August Burns Red. Renowned for his complex technical compositions, precise polyrhythms and memorable drum solos, he has played a major role in popularising and defining the genre’s rhythmic patterns. His greatest strength lies in his exceptional physical stamina and his ability to execute breakdowns of phenomenal power whilst maintaining impeccable clarity of execution. When not on world tours, he actively shares his expertise through masterclasses and is involved in teaching drumming to the next generation.
