Take your technical agility to new heights with the Vic Firth Keith Carlock mallets, the flagship of the Signature Series collection.

Co-developed with one of the most virtuosic jazz-fusion and pop drummers of his generation, this unique model focuses on dynamics and speed. If you're looking for a tool that makes single and double bearings absolutely effortless and fluid, this model with its exclusive profile is just what you need.

Made from top-quality American hickory, these cues immediately stand out for their very specific neck profile: a long neck with a rapid slope. This unique geometry shifts the balance point backwards to deliver incredible leverage and rebound.

At the tip, the compressed teardrop-shaped wooden olive (an exclusive design modified by Keith Carlock) ensures an optimised contact surface on the skins and an ultra-defined, precise cymbal sound. To top it all off, the cymbals have a thick varnish coating that ensures an impeccable grip, even during the most intense performances.

Keith Carlock is the chameleon drummer par excellence, with an amazing technique and a sense of positioning that has the fusion and rock worlds in a frenzy.

Born in Mississippi, he has become the absolute reference for technically demanding artists. He was the regular drummer for the legendary band Steely Dan for over 20 years (he is the only drummer to have recorded all the tracks on one of their albums, Everything Must Go).

Key groups and collaborations:

- Toto: He joined the legendary band in 2014 for the Toto XIV album and world tour, taking over from Simon Phillips.

- Sting: He has shared the stage and studio with the former lead singer of The Police for his solo projects.

- John Mayer: He has also collaborated with him (it's a small world, really!).

- James Taylor: Another American singing legend who called on his striking skills.

His style: extraordinary stamina, fluid cymbal playing and total mastery of syncopation. It was for his ultra-fast, bouncy playing that he asked Vic Firth for this long, fast-sloping neck.
