The Vic Firth 5B American Classic Extreme Double Glaze drumsticks modify the standard 5B design to offer rock drummers greater leverage.
Their extended length of 16.5” shifts the balance point forwards, providing maximum reach over the kit and significantly increased impact force. The shaft features the DoubleGlaze lacquer finish, an exclusive thick varnish that reacts to body heat to stabilise the grip, creating a non-slip texture ideal for preventing slips during live performances.
Machined from high-density American hickory, its structure absorbs vibrations to protect the wrists during intensive playing.
Its medium-sized neck ensures a natural swing, whilst its teardrop-shaped wooden olive widens the contact surface. This geometry produces a traditional, dark and warm woody sound, enhancing the resonance of the drums and the texture of the cymbals.
