8.00 pm, the auditorium is filling up and the projectors are waiting for their signal; the Wolfmix W1 MK3, a standalone DMX controller from Wolfmix, responds instantly thanks to its 220 MHz ARM-based CPU, 8 Mb of RAM and 16 Mb of Flash memory, which ensure a responsive interface at your fingertips.

The 4.3-inch colour capacitive TFT touchscreen transforms every adjustment into a precise gesture. The four rotary push-button encoders with acceleration allow for fine-tuning of speeds, whilst the 37 colour LED-backlit silicone buttons remain legible in the dim light. Strobe, Blinder, Speed, Blackout and Smoke remain easily accessible even when the show is in full swing.

With its four freely assignable scenes, over 20,000 fixture profiles and the ability to load from the Nicolaudie SSL2 library, the Wolfmix lets you quickly build a show without starting from scratch. Its omnidirectional microphone with auto-gain and its analogue audio peak detection circuit naturally follow the music to synchronise the FX, whilst the 3.5 mm mini-jack line-in provides an alternative synchronisation path.

Connections include 2 x 3-pin XLR and 5-pin XLR DMX OUTs, 5-pin XLR DMX IN/OUTs with WLINK USB-A for synchronising a second Wolfmix, DMX IN for faders, and high-speed USB-C at 5 VDC, 1.5 A required. Finally, the 100 mm VESA mount facilitates a neat installation, exactly where it needs to be.

To transport this controller, the Walkasse Eva Case Wolfmix from the Evanik series, compatible with the W1 MK2 and MK3, features a protective design that offers exceptional peace of mind. Its 6 mm compression-moulded EVA, combined with dual-density moulding and anti-vibration honeycomb foam, absorbs the stresses of travel.

The water-repellent 1680D ballistic nylon and velour lining reinforce this protection whilst ensuring it remains comfortable to handle. The YKK zip, rubber-reinforced handle and mesh compartment for the mains adaptor and cables make every journey easier. The black case, supplied without a controller or cables, is also Decksaver-compatible.

The Decksaver Wolfmix W1 Cover completes the set on the console with its patented transparent plastic, which protects the controller from knocks and dust whilst keeping its interface clearly visible.
