The WORK PA 1254 is a 19-inch rack-mount power amplifier occupying a single height unit. Based on Class D amplification, it delivers up to 4 × 150 W into 4 ohms whilst minimising its footprint and energy consumption.

Its four independent channels allow multiple speakers or sound zones to be powered from a single unit. Depending on the installation requirements, the amplifier can operate in nine different configurations, offering great flexibility in terms of cabling. Two of these modes are specifically designed for 2.1 systems and allow channels C and D to be dedicated to powering a subwoofer.

Sub mode incorporates a low-pass filter with a cut-off frequency adjustable between 50 and 250 Hz, making it easy to use with full-range speakers without the need for an additional external processor.

The front panel features independent volume controls for each of the four channels, as well as indicators for power, signal presence, clipping and protection. The audio inputs and outputs use Euroblock connectors, which are particularly well-suited to fixed installations and rack-mount integration.

The PA 1254 covers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with harmonic distortion of less than 0.1 per cent and a signal-to-noise ratio of over 96 dB. It also incorporates several protection systems against operational faults, including audio muting, DC voltage protection and overload protection via an internal fuse.
