he Zildjian A Custom Mastersound 14" Top continues the brilliant, modern DNA of the A Custom series, but with a more pronounced approach to the hi-hat. Here, the Mastersound concept adds character to the closed action thanks to grooves on the bottom cymbal (interacting with the top), resulting in a faster, more defined and, above all, more present 'chick' in the mix.

When playing, the feel remains fluid and light, with a very clean attack under the stick. The sound is clear and bright, but has more impact than a classic A Custom. The hi-hat responds quickly, with a controlled opening and a very precise closing at the foot. This responsiveness makes for more expressive playing, especially on dynamic grooves or fast patterns.

In a musical context, this is clearly a hi-hat oriented towards modern rock, fusion, current pop and even more powerful contexts such as certain melodic metal styles. It retains the brilliant signature typical of the A Custom series, while adding more presence and definition to the rhythm section.
