Hi-hat Cymbal
Zildjian K-Series Light 15" Bottom is a hi-hat cymbal that delivers a rounder, more open "chick" than a standard model. Its 15" diameter and medium B20 weight give a wider groove, with a smooth, natural response. Ideal for nuanced playing where ghost notes, subtle placements and dynamic variations play a bigger part in the phrasing.

Presentation
The Zildjian K-Series Light 15" Bottom lays the foundations for a hi-hat that's wider, more flexible and, above all, more breathable. With its 15-inch diameter, there's a clear change of register compared to a standard hi-hat: the sound descends, opens up more, and takes on a more enveloping dimension in the mix.
This B20 bottom end, with its medium weight, provides just the right amount of stability to balance the thinner top end of the Light series. The result is a 'chick' that's less dry than on heavier models, but rounder and more natural, with a response that stays fast underfoot. The hammering and traditional finish reinforce the dark, slightly grainy texture typical of the K series.
In a playing situation, you can quickly feel the difference. The hi-hat breathes more, the openings are wider, with a slightly washy feel that adds substance to the groove without saturating it. It works very well in modern jazz, neo-soul or indie, but also in pop or more sedate rock, where an overly dry hi-hat can quickly sound rigid.
This bottom end plays a key role in the overall balance: it maintains control while letting the sound express itself. It's what gives the whole thing that fluid, deep, lively feel.
