The Zildjian K-Series Sweet 14" Top is aimed at drummers who are already familiar with the dark colour of the K series, but are looking for something a little more open and lively, without losing that deep identity. This is no classic hi-hat: the Sweet range pushes the K sound in a wider, more expressive direction, with richer nuances in every strike.
This 14-inch top is very thin, and reacts immediately under the baton. The very present hammering adds a complex texture, with harmonics that breathe more freely. When played closed, the sound remains precise but never rigid. As soon as you open the hi-hat a little, you get a wide, almost washy opening that gives the groove movement without blurring it.
This hi-hat has a natural place in styles where dynamics are important: modern jazz, neo-soul, indie, atmospheric pop or even more creative studio settings. It allows you to play with nuances, subtle accents and progressive openings without losing control of the sound.
