Zildjian isn’t limited to acoustic cymbals. The brand has developed the ALCHEM-E, an electronic drum kit that uses genuine E-FAMILY Low Volume metal-alloy cymbals.

These cymbals trigger a custom sample library via a sensor system. Zildjian states that this approach differs from conventional electronic drum kits, which generally use rubber pads or hybrid cymbals.

The company thus presents the ALCHEM-E as a fusion of the feel of an acoustic drum kit and the possibilities offered by electronics, with applications ranging from home studios to concert stages.
