The family preserved this expertise over several generations. In 1929, Avedis Zildjian III set up the first American foundry in Quincy, Massachusetts.
The brand has since accompanied the evolution of jazz, rock and hip-hop. In 2023, Zildjian will celebrate its 400th anniversary. Today, its cymbals are still manufactured in the United States, in Norwell, Massachusetts.
