The Zildjian S Family Band 18" cymbals have been designed for musicians who need projection, control and a good reserve of dynamics in orchestral ensembles and percussion bands. From the very first strike, they develop a wide, full crash, with a beautiful presence that easily fills the space without becoming difficult to control.

Thanks to their medium-heavy construction, these hand cymbals retain enough power for outdoor performances or stadium band configurations, while remaining precise in more nuanced contexts such as concert band or indoor ensembles. They respond well to variations in intensity, which helps enormously with progressive crescendos or more pronounced accents.

Their bright sound with a strong midrange base provides a clear, musical attack that can cut through an ensemble without overwhelming the rest of the band. There's also a pleasant sense of control in the more subtle passages, making it easy to work with nuances ranging from pianissimo to fortissimo.
