The Zildjian S Rock Crash 18" cymbal is part of the S series, machined from a B12 alloy (88% copper, 12% tin). This alloy produces a clear, brilliant sound, ideal for use in contexts where projection is important.
Thanks to its 18" diameter, it offers a wide opening and a clean attack. As it is rated medium heavy, it retains sufficient mass to produce a large volume without saturating. With its high-gloss finish, the crash reacts quickly and produces luminous harmonics.
In a set, it can complement a thinner crash to vary the dynamics. Placed as the main accent, it adds width to the playing. You can also use it in combination with a glossy wrinkle to reinforce intense passages.
