The Zildjian Z Custom 18" China cymbal has been developed to produce violent, fast accents with a strong presence in the mix. From the very first strike, it reacts with an immediate, cutting attack, perfect for punctuating breakdowns, heavy transitions or passages where the drums need to stand out forcefully.
With its 18-inch diameter and medium-thin weight, this china is explosive yet responsive under the sticks. The sound comes through quickly, with plenty of brilliance and an aggressive texture typical of the Z Custom series. The decay remains relatively clean for a china of this type, which helps to avoid excessive spurious frequencies in saturated environments.
The sound character remains very stage-oriented and high-volume. In modern metal, hardcore, punk or deathcore, it easily finds its place to reinforce accents without getting lost behind compressed guitars and bass drums.
