The Zildjian Z Custom 20" China cymbal takes the brutal, direct spirit of the series even further. At 20 inches, it has a very wide opening and an imposing sound distribution, designed for drummers who want huge accents capable of filling the whole stage.
The larger diameter provides more depth and texture than a more compact china. The impact is still immediate, with that bright, aggressive attack typical of Z Custom, but the sustain is a little fuller, which reinforces the feeling of power in heavy passages and massive transitions.
Despite its imposing size, the medium-thin weight helps the cymbal to respond quickly. It reacts quickly under the sticks, with a trashy character that's very present but sufficiently controlled to remain usable in modern, busy arrangements.
This china easily finds its place in modern metal, hardcore, deathcore or certain industrial productions where the accents need to remain audible despite saturated guitars and large rhythm sections.
