The Zildjian Signature Marc Quiñones Timbales “Salsa” pair of drumsticks stands out as a highly specialised instrument, developed in close collaboration with the master of Latin percussion.

Designed exclusively to set timbales, cascades and world percussion sets alight, this Signature version breaks the mould of traditional drumsticks.

Its unique design features an ultra-thin diameter of .465” and an extended length of 16.62”, a perfect aerodynamic ratio for executing ultra-fast syncopated rhythms whilst enjoying maximum reach over the shells and bells. To harness this speed, the shaft features the famous black DIP coating, a patented grip zone that ensures a secure hold during even the most intense and frenzied solos.

Carved from exceptionally sturdy American hickory, the stick’s shaft is neckless and features a straight profile from end to end.

This specific ‘no-olive’ construction (with a straight ‘butt’ finish at both ends) is essential for achieving the dry, crisp and cutting strike that is synonymous with playing on the metal hoops of timpani.
