AKG - WMS420 Instrument Bande U
The AKG WMS420 U-Band Instrument is an HF set designed for electric instruments requiring a simple, reliable and quick wireless link. It combines an SR420 receiver with a PT420 bodypack transmitter supplied with instrument cable for live, event or fixed applications.
Presentation
The system comprises the SR420 stationary receiver and the PT420 beltpack transmitter, together with an instrument cable. Thanks to its antenna-switching diversity technology, the receiver optimises the stability of HF reception and reduces the risk of clipping during use. Removable antennas also make it easy to integrate professional RF accessories such as antenna splitters or remote antennas into larger multi-channel configurations.
The U-Band covers a frequency range from 606.1 to 629.9 MHz, depending on the U1 and U2 sub-bands of the WMS420 system. The system can operate with up to eight simultaneous channels in the same frequency band, making it easy to integrate into live configurations with multiple HF systems.
The PT420 has a compact, lightweight design for comfortable use on stage. Its mini XLR 3-pin connector ensures reliable connection to the instrument cable supplied and to the various compatible AKG microphones in the MicroMic range. Built-in charging contacts also allow the use of rechargeable batteries with the optional CU400 charging station.
The system incorporates Pilot Tone transmission to prevent unwanted noise or start-up. The system can run for up to eight hours on a single AA battery, making it ideal for long shifts or full days of operation.
