HF Instruments System

The Xvive U9 frees the violin and viola from cables, with a precise supercardioid gooseneck pick-up, natural 24-bit sound and ultra-stable 2.4 GHz transmission.

ARTICLE N° 113048
The Xvive U9 is a wireless system for violin and viola that combines freedom of movement with faithful sound reproduction. Designed for stage, orchestral and studio musicians, it combines a high-sensitivity supercardioid gooseneck microphone with 2.4 GHz digital transmission to deliver clear, dynamic sound with no perceptible latency.

The integrated supercardioid capsule has been developed to accurately capture the complex sound of bowed string instruments. Its design captures both the harmonic richness of the body and the precision of the bow, while effectively rejecting ambient sound. With a maximum sound pressure level of 142dB SPL, the pick-up can handle the cleanest attacks without distortion, while its -45dB sensitivity ensures a balanced, natural sound.

Thanks to 24-bit / 48 kHz digital conversion, the U9 reproduces high-resolution sound over the entire 20 Hz - 20 kHz band, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 108 dB and a latency of less than 5 ms. The system operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band (licence-free worldwide), with six selectable channels to avoid interference, and an effective range of 27 metres in free field conditions.

The included mounting clip allows the microphone and transmitter to be securely attached to the soundboard of a violin or viola, while the flexible gooseneck allows great freedom of placement. The stand is suitable for instruments with a body thickness of between 30 and 40 mm, ensuring a stable and secure fit.

The compact receiver connects directly to an XLR input on a console or audio interface and incorporates two internal antennas for smooth, stable reception. The balanced output signal guarantees a professional sound, ready for use both live and recorded.

The system has a battery life of 5 hours thanks to built-in rechargeable batteries, with a full recharge in 2.5 hours via the dual USB-C cable supplied. When you're on the move, the included hard case contains all the accessories you need: microphone, clip, windscreens, charging cable and manual.
