Inspired by the warmth of tube circuits, this compact head for electric bass features a rich preamp, musical EQ and a reserve of dynamics to support the groove, from muffled playing to nervous lines. The Tone Hammer 700 V2 preamp develops a dense harmonic texture that enhances modern or vintage electric basses. You get a full bass and midrange for every line played on stage.
With 700 W available under the bonnet, the Aguilar head easily pushes several cabinets and maintains a stable response when the volume rises in an energetic band. This reserve of power supports clean attacks and maintains the definition of low notes in busy arrangements that are very dense on stage.
The 3-band EQ offers sweepable bass, treble and midrange to fine-tune the bass's place in the mix. You can quickly adjust the sound colour to suit the room, the band or the style being played on stage tonight.
The Drive setting adds progressive tube-inspired saturation and boosts the midrange when your playing gets edgy in rock, funk or blues passages. This reserve of grain gives relief to the lines and maintains clear articulation even when playing hard in long rehearsals and noisy late gigs.
Extensive connectivity includes 2 separate XLR D.I. outputs for front-of-house and monitor control without major technical complications. An auxiliary input and headphone output are also available for working discreetly on your bass lines late at home.
