Axel Technology - Oxygen 3000 Plus 12 Fader 2A Dante

With two audio I/O cards, this version of the Oxygen 3000 Plus prioritises the number of available connections. The control surface is still organised around 12 faders, but the console now features two independent I/O sections, allowing it to accommodate more physical sources and expand the range of output options. This is a particularly useful configuration when the control room needs to connect multiple microphones, players, computers, telephone lines and external equipment without always having to rely on additional expansion units.

Each card can accommodate up to five microphones with +48 V phantom power and Automix. The total capacity therefore amounts to ten microphone inputs, featuring dynamic processing, a 5-band parametric equaliser, Ducking and AutoFader. In particular, the Automix function allows active microphones to be grouped together and automatically reduces the levels of those not in use, which simplifies the management of programmes with multiple speakers.

The dual-card architecture also provides four basic stereo analogue inputs, rising to eight depending on the use of other available sources. The number of analogue outputs increases to eight, distributed across the two cards, whilst two AES/EBU outputs can be utilised. Two Bluetooth interfaces, up to four USB audio interfaces, two telephone hybrids or Telco interfaces, as well as several N-1 links, can also be integrated into the configuration.

The 16 × 16 Dante connection then extends this capability to the audio network. It provides 16 inputs and 16 outputs and supports Dante, AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110-30. The signals can be used as mono, stereo or Telco sources in the 50 × 50 digital routing matrix.

The system retains the workflow tools of the Oxygen 3000 Plus series: separate control room/studio monitoring, Smartkeys, snapshots, HDMI output, control via Oxygen Remoter and a web interface. This version therefore focuses primarily on a particularly generous I/O architecture, whilst retaining a control surface with 12 faders.
