Allen & Heath Qu-5: 38-input 96kHz console, 32x32 USB, DEEP effects, mix wizards, touchscreen interface, ready for stage or installation.
ARTICLE N° 107767
Presentation
The Qu-5 console offers 38 inputs to the mix and 96kHz conversion, all in an ultra-portable format. It inherits the XCVI core of the dLive series, ensuring latency of less than 0.7 ms and impressive processing precision. It's the perfect solution for sound engineers who want to stay ahead of the game while remaining mobile.
Ergonomics remain at the heart of the Qu philosophy. On the Qu-5, each channel is clearly identifiable thanks to individual displays and chromatic meters, while the interface has been completely redesigned for greater fluidity. The 7-inch capacitive touchscreen provides intuitive access to settings, effects and routings, even in demanding live environments. The result: a smooth, immediate and uncompromising mixing experience.
The Qu-5 is ready for any type of recording thanks to its 32x32 USB audio interface in USB-C and its compatibility with multi-track recording on SD card or in stereo via USB-A. For touring, the engineer can also connect a computer for virtual soundchecks or playback, with perfect DAW integration. The Qu-5D model goes even further, featuring a 16x16 Dante port for complex network installations.
With its intelligent wizards, the Qu-5 saves you precious time. The Gain Wizard automatically calibrates input levels without clipping, while the Feedback Wizard detects and suppresses up to 16 critical frequencies per output. These automatic functions reduce human error and speed up preparation, without sacrificing the accuracy of the final mix. In real-life situations, they become real allies on stages where every minute counts.
Dynamic processing is at a professional level: 4-band parametric EQ, compressors, noise gates, delays, 28-band GEQ, RackExtra effects, everything is included with no additional latency. The addition of DEEP Processing (optional) gives you access to analogue equipment simulations that are in great demand on international tours. All without external DSP. Automatic microphone mixing (AMM) is integrated on 32 channels, ideal for conferences and TV sets.
Finally, the Qu-MixPad and Qu-You applications and the network interface allow total remote management via tablet, smartphone or computer. Musicians can manage their feedback without depending on the sound engineer, and technicians benefit from maximum flexibility in configuration, on stage or in a fixed installation. Thanks to SLink connectivity, the console can also be integrated into larger Allen & Heath systems with up to 128 channels at 96kHz.
