Axel Technology - Tuner pour Tiger E3/5

Designed to complement the monitoring functions of the Tiger E3/E5, the Tiger E3/E5 Tuner is a hardware option that allows you to directly receive an FM signal and monitor its quality from within the broadcast system. The benefit lies in being able to compare what is generated or processed within the system with the signal actually received on the FM network.

Once installed, the tuner provides several indicators relating to signal reception and content. In particular, the RF level, multipath and carrier offset allow reception conditions to be assessed, whilst the MPX, Pilot, RDS and BLER measurements provide a more precise picture of the quality of the composite signal and associated data. The Tiger E3/E5 also features RDS decoding, enabling the identification of the main services transmitted by the station: PI, PS, PTY, RT, TA, TP and MS, as well as the presence of CT, AF, RT+, TMC and EON.

This function is not limited to displaying measurements. The received signal can also be used as a source for rebroadcasting or serve as a reference for off-air monitoring of a station. The tuner thus acts as a control point located directly within the same unit as the Tiger’s MPX processing, stereo generation, RDS encoding and changeover functions.
