Presentation
The 12FCX76 from B&C Speakers combines two transducers in a single structure to offer a perfectly aligned coaxial solution, both physically and sonically. This model is aimed at loudspeaker designers looking for homogeneous reproduction, controlled directivity and simplified installation in a single chassis.
In this 8+16 Ohm version, the bass section is based on a 12-inch driver with a 76 mm copper voice coil, capable of handling up to 700 W in programme. With an efficiency of 98 dB and a bandwidth starting at 47 Hz, the 12FCX76 provides a solid base for front or rear applications, both in mobile PA and fixed installation.
The high-frequency section uses a 75 mm titanium diaphragm motor, driven by an aluminium coil, for a detailed response up to 18 kHz. Its recommended crossover at 1.2 kHz ensures a smooth transition between the two channels. The whole system is driven by a single ferrite magnet, common to both sections, with a demodulation ring to limit HF distortion.
The WP waterproof treated cone and aluminium chassis provide additional robustness, particularly in environments subject to humidity. With a dispersion of 80°, this model is particularly well suited to bi-amplified systems requiring compactness and acoustic coherence, without compromising on power.
