Designed to offer a complete solution in a compact format, the B&C Speakers 12 FHX 76 4+16 Ohm (or 12-FHX76 4+16 Ohm) combines an LF and HF driver in a single chassis, with an extended response from 45 Hz to 18 kHz. This 12-inch coaxial model is aimed at designers of two-way audio systems who are looking for a reliable balance between performance and compactness, without sacrificing dynamic range or sonic accuracy.
The bass driver incorporates a 76 mm copper coil mounted on a fibreglass support, capable of handling up to 700 W in programme. It is based on a single-magnet ferrite motor with an aluminium demodulation ring for minimal distortion, and a waterproof paper cone to cope with harsh environments. The HF motor is based on a 75 mm coil with titanium dome and 16 Ohm impedance. Its horn with controlled directivity (60°x40°) ensures even coverage, even in demanding situations.
With a sensitivity of 98dB for the bass section and 106dB for the treble section, the 12-FHX-76 is both effective and balanced. This model is therefore perfectly suited to compact stage monitors, front-of-house speakers and integrated touring applications. Its rigorous mechanical design and top-of-the-range components combine performance, robustness and ease of integration.
