B&C Speakers - 12FHX76 4+8 Ohm

Designed to offer both efficiency and compactness, the B&C Speakers 12FHX76 4+8 Ohm (also referenced as 12-FHX76, 12 FHX 76 or 12FHX76 4+8Ω) is aimed at manufacturers and integrators looking for a reliable, versatile and high-performance 12-inch coaxial loudspeaker. Its design incorporates a unique ferrite motor that powers both the bass and treble sections, reducing the footprint and simplifying integration.

The bass section is based on a 76 mm copper coil mounted on a fibreglass support, combined with a waterproof cone at the front. This ensures accurate reproduction and good power handling, up to 700 W in programme. The treble section is based on a titanium diaphragm and a 75 mm aluminium coil, offering an extended response and an excellent level of detail right through to the high frequencies. Directionality is controlled by an integrated horn with modified exponential curvature (60°x40°), ideal for maintaining coherent dispersion in compact two-way speakers.

Notable features include a sensitivity of 98dB for the woofer and 106dB for the HF driver, an overall efficiency of 2.7%, a recommended crossover frequency of 1.2kHz, and an optimised mechanical load with waterproof front suspension, double silicone spider and aluminium demodulation ring.
